i just did the deckplate mod on my tacoma and i was wonderin if i can leave it open in the rain?

oh yeah you can i leave mine out 24/7, the only time you may want to think of puting the cover back in is when you are going through deep water that may get into the air box. but besides that you can leave it open.

I heard after the d mod you need to unplug the battery for a few min to reset the computers air fuel mixture calculation. Anyone else know of this???

No need. Only disconnect the battery if you get a check engine light after doing the mod.


I leave it open 24/7 btw.

Once you hit 3k+ RPMs it will emit a louder sound. It's pretty sweet.

yeah it gets to soundin good about 3 grand.
mine was white so i had to paint it black. im glad i did it i can tell the difference

You could pull out the EFI fuse if you wanted, but the computer's smart enough to adjust itself so you don't really have to do anything.

they only had white so i had to paint it. the blue sensor safe silicone kinda pisses me off but o' well


i was wondering what the silencers off was like too? anyone do it?
