car chirping

For the past week or so my car has been chirping. It sounds like its coming from the transmission. It stops if i put very slight pressure on the clutch pedal. i changed my clutch about a month ago if that matters. any thoughts?

 

Sounds like it could be the throw out bearing.....

 

It's the throw-out bearing. Seen it hundreds of times, but is it in your "car" or "truck?"

 

ya but i replaced the throwout bearing along with my clutch. It was brand new

 

truck. my apologies. and i jsut couldnt think it would be because i just replaced it

 

what wasn't replaced with the clutch? i'm thnking the throw out bearing is the culprit.

 

the only thing not replaced was the flywheel. The pressure pad, clutch plate, throwout bearing and pilot bearing were all replaced

 

No prob. Dylan. I hope you didn't take that the wrong way--Wasn't trying to sound like a smart-ass. Just didn't want your "truck's" feelings to get hurt.
Man, I don't know, "chirping" is usually indicative of the throw-out bearing. The other thing you could check is the linkage to the clutch pedal I guess. It's not likely a brand new bearing would chirp, but I suppose it's not impossible either. Good luck.

 

dont worry I was just messing too. yea im really hoping a brand new bearing wouldnt make noises. but thats what I was thinking too. could I have messed it up in anyway putting it on. (not that it matters im not opening that trranny back up anytime soon)
