what would be a good 3" lift for an 04 dbl cab?

I have a 04 double cab and I want to lift it 2-4" but still keep it very practical or daily drivable. What is my best choice. not the cheapest.... the best working and most reliable choice?

 

Most people around this site like to get Toytec Lifts. Just type that in on google and you'll find some exellent lifts. The Toytec Ultimate Lift is a very reputable lift as well, if money isn't an issue. Becuase i'm poor, I went with a Rough Country lift for on $200.

 

Yeah I would say the toytec if you have the funds for sure. I didn't fork out for it I went with the Billstien 5100's up front and an add a leaf in the rear, but I'm planning to use a toytec coil over in the front with my 5100' soon.

if your going for 3" id suggest more than blocks thats for sure, at that point your strut will run low on stroke and the ride will suffer.

A lot of people swear by the bilstien setup, usually about $300 for the front and get 2.5" lift or so and add a leaf to support to bilstien shocks back there or even a block.

ive got the 3 inch Toytec ultimate lift with AALs. very practicle, my ride actually got better and cant notice a difference with the gas mileage. easy install, took 6 hours, but could have been less. i put on 285/75/16 BF Goodrich AT. worth the money. the guys that work there are great. directions are very clear cut.

 

dasler love the truck man, i see your running your stock upper control arms. Do you have any alignment issues, or get that wandering steering. Im going to be buying the same coilovers but i am thinking about getting some camburg uca's at the same time. What do ya got for backspacing on those dick cepek rims btw?

 

back spacing has to be 4.5 or less. you dont need the uca's unless u got the extra dough to blow. Toytec tells you what to set the machine up at when u get your alignment. it rides better than stock. u wont believe it.

recently had bilstein 5100's installed on all four wheels as well as the Toytec AAL witha 1.5" block in the back. The fronts are set at the highest(2.5"). I really like the extra clearance and the over all look of the truck, ride is fine but I clearly need a new alignment.
