Abs

I tried to find a solution before posting but I could not find one. If I am driving on dry pavement (or even in the snow), no matter how easily or hard I stop, my ABS kicks on. I was curious why this is doing this. Front brakes just changed.

Perhaps you should lay off the gas pedal when coming to a stop. The only time I had the ABS kick in on dry was when I was going down a hill and stopped way to late. (First week of owning the '09) Other than that, I get it when there is a skid detected on slick surfaces.

 

Yeah but the thing is, it happens whether I stop 10 feet from a light or 50 feet. No matter what.

 

Dunno then, could be whatever controls the ABS is starting to crap out. That sucks if that is the case. Godd luck figuring it out.

 

The thing that is weird, is the BRAKE light never flashes or comes on. Not familiar with foreign vehicles, just looking for some insight in trying to solve the annoying sound as well as wearing out ABS system.

 

Does it stay on the whole time you stop or just come on for a second.

 

since you just changed your front pads make sure your wheel speed sensors are working right, more often than not loose metalic particals from changing brakes will contaminate the wheel speed sensors (magnets) causeing it to kick on ABS every time you hit the brakes

 

Makes sense, it just goes on for a second or so and shuts off. Where is the location of the speed sensor?

 

ill check with mine later and follow up since it is 2am, but it should be the only electricle peice and it has a clip close to the rotor
