15" & 16" rims

I have a friend who has a 2003 Taco and he put 15" rims on it when it came stock with 16's, these were solid wheels and he had minor break overheating problems, I am looking at going to a 15" for various reasons, manly I don't need D raged tires and I want narrow 33's but has anyone had any problems with open rims overheating on tacoma's with the bigger breaks and 15's?

Also if I did a 1/2" poly spacer would I need an alignment?

 

i have 15" rims on my truck for a year or two and haven't noticed any brake overheating problems but then again i don't really check. i have never heard of overheating problems because of 15" rims.

 

I got 15's on mine. No overheating. Maybe his brakes overheated because he rides his brakes a lot.

 

Yep, use to have 15" rims on 2002 Tacoma 4x4. No issues at all.
