MPG's went up!!!!!

I had just replaced my o2 sensors bc of a CEL. And I just checked my mileage when filling up. And I calcualted I got a little over 20mpg mostly highway. And I went up to Mt. Hood (lots of hills). Yes I did calcualte for my bigger tires..

Im very pleased!

 

Was wondering who else is getting this kinda mileage with my setup? (285/75/r16's)

With summer gas, I get 23mpg on 265/75/R16's in the BFG AT... I am pretty happy with that, although that is highway and city is around 18-19. In the winter with all the ethanol added I loose about 3mpg.

 

wtf. ive been calculating and im only coming up with 13 or 15 tops. thats my rough estimate adjusting with the bigger tires. without the adjustment i get 220 miles to the tank filling up too 15.9 gallons

am i calculating wrong??

 

thats roughly all I've been getting. Lots of "city" driving, and right now I'm at almost a 1/2 tank with like 120 miles.

 

okay that sounds about right. what size tires do you have i got 265/75/16

 

Not suprised a faulty o2 sensor can reduce your mpg's by 40%.

 

^^ Yeah it can!! Dont forget that when changing o2 sensors, you should always change both at the same time. I changed one and still had crappy MPG's and a CEL. So I changed the other one and now all is good. The Old and New will have two different readings other wise, and not be working correctly. Atleast thats what happened to mine.

 

i've got 33's I get around 17mpg but I drive not so nice and I have a 3" lift. My o2 sensors need changed but I need to come up with the 250 bucks to change both of them.
