ok so i searched about 3 diff forums on how to disable my DRL's on my 04 tacoma everywhere i look its always cut the second wire but i heard that wire is the ground which sounds like i dont wanna mess with that haha also it leads to the highbeam lite to turn on

and the second way i hurd is to cut the first wire can someone lead me in the right direction i really want to get rid of these drls so i can get some hids! and i dont want to go do my last option which is go to the dealer and get ripped off lol anyone have experience with the drl's?

Thumbs up Do it!

Shelton, that harness is driver's side under the dash. Just did that about a month ago.....just like the picture says.

do the US trucks come with DRL's?

Just wondering how to add them if i buy a US truck and bring it back to canada since we have to have DRL's (I'd then remove them after inspection)

I believe most of them do. That's why the DRL mod is so popular.

Did the same thing the other day and I can't seem to find anything that looks identical. More pics please!

I disabled my drl last year because I didn't want my HID's on all the time. I am pretty sure I cut the first wire just like in the picture. I can always reconnect that wire back if I want my drl back

Behind the OBDII connector. Right of the steering wheel and left of the radio.
