New and curious what to look for

Hows it goin? I'm new here and have a few questions about a toyota pickup, first I'll introduce myself. My name is Orrin and I'm from Texas, moving right along. . I'm looking at purchasing a 97 4x4 Tacoma single cab with what he says is a 2.7l 4cyl and a 5 speed (did that liter 4cyl come in that year?) with 165k miles on it for 3800 bucks. Obviously I know toyota has a good rep about the reliability of higher mileage vehicles and I have always wanted a tacoma. But are their any common problems that I need to look for on this pickup? I plan on sticking around here for a while and doing my research on other things with the search button, but I feel like 3800 is a pretty good price on this truck, so I would like to move on it today. But first i need to take the wife to lunch and throw my persuasive skills on the table and make sure she is down. lol. Any info would be appreciated guys, thanks again.
