Most of what you said there makes sense.

I remember looking into 4 inch body lifts at one time...I'm glad I didn't do that. Maybe seeing a coworker BL his Ford Ranger helped convince me to do the right thing.

^^ This. Everyone else just seems to feed off of eachothers butthurt about bodylifts. People make accounts and the first post they'll have is "DONT DO A BODY LIFT" cause thats what they've read, when they really dont know anything about em. :D

I know this is an old post, but lol to everything this guy said, especially the part about body lifts riding better than a suspension lift and how body lifts are the way to go if you're wanting to keep your truck for 500k miles.

If it's still in the junkyard I can take pics that prove why body lifts are bad. My friend lifted his explorer, like an '01 the smaller versions 4 door, 3" by suspension and 3 by body and put mickey Thompson MT Tires on. A week or so later when it rained he hydroplaned on standing water, it had stopped raining, and went into a tree the tree hit just about behind the front passenger tire causing the truck to spin around the tree. The bolts on the body lift broke and sent the cab and my friend flying they landed about 5 feet away and rolled 3 times before stopping. He was sent to the hospital for a bad concussion, broken femur, radius on right arm, left ankle, and crushed hand from trying to hold on the outside of the truck, and numerous lacerations to his body from flying shards of glass. The police said that if it wasn't for the body lift he would've walked away with bruises and scratches.
Edit: You're making fun of him I see this now. and  But my point still stands just now not directed at you.
