Hello all I recently purchaced a 95 taco 2.4l and i love it. Problem is this however. Sometimes the truck has and odd rythmic squeak from behind the dash. it speeds up when I accelerate and slows down when braking. I think it has something to do with the speedometer because as the sound is occuring the needle wobbles slightly. Hopefully somebody else has had some experience with this. Thanx in advance for any thoughts

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
If your speedo is bouncing you may need a new cable and drive gear.

Yep - sounds like a classic case of speedo cable issues ...

thanks for the replies guys. Is the speedometer something thats going to be a royal pita or is it relatively simple? Im used to working on a lincoln, so i dont assume that anything will be easy.
