2 bad gas caps?

    my check engine light has come on 4 diff times the same code i dont remember the code but the guy at the parts store said it was the gas cap replaced it twice light came on last night same code what else could it be thanks for any help

    get the code reread again and let us know what it is. if it is a gas cap code, maybe its the filler neck being messed up?? what gas caps are you using,aftermarket or what?

    it is the cas cap code the guy said maybee a vacume leak what could be wrong with the filler neck after market gas cap staunt maybee

    filler neck may have got crossed up or something. does the cap feel kinda sloppy or anything when you tighten and click it?? and it could be a vac. leak, but chances are its just a faulty cap(again) or filler neck is fubarred.

    this prob just started i drive the truck a couple time a week at most it seems like it does it when the weather changes
    gas cap feels tight

    damn, thats gonna be a tricky one there. i guess you're gonn ahave to start checking for any loose vac. lines and hoses, even check your gas tank where the in/out lines are.

    it just dives me nuts seeing that light on any ideas where to start looking cant see to muck from underneath the truck

    i went back and had then scan it again and it was 0460 i think or 0640
