Jungle Fender Flares

Has anyone bought Jungle fender flares for your truck? I have a 99 tacoma and the price seems really good for these fender flares but I am worried about quality and looks. If you have or know anyone that has these can you let me know what you think about these.

I did buy a set, unfortunately I haven't had time to install them yet but i'm satisfied so far. It's sturdy and good quality. These guys ship very fast also
can't wait to put them on...

WOW flares look great, I have a 99 also - gonna send it as I can put my whole hand into a hole in the frame, DAMN right I will buy another toyota - too bad tho I just put the bilstein shocks on and was easily able to fit 33" skins only rubs a tiny bit when full turning, just went wheelin today will post videos on myspace, have a link in a few

 

With all these trucks going in everyone should strip out your performance equipment, tires, etc. and sell them before Toyota dealers get their hands on them. If you have the original equipment and put it back on before Toyota takes it back they would not know or expect anything different. I checked my truck and it did not appear to have the holes. It did come from Boston so I thought for sure it would have had the problem. If any of you guys want to sell some used parts before the truck goes back let me know. Thanks guys I think I will try those Jungle flares, they look nice.

Exactly what I have done, kept all my mods and transfered them to an other tacoma, this one has the V6 and no rust at all! Toyota will still waranty frame until 2013. Check out Blake's web site for jungle flares http://www.JungleFenderFlares.com nice gentlemen, very helpfull input also

 

That is an awesome looking Taco. You should get newer pics since you did so much more work. It looks way better now with your new wheels and tires! The Tacoma fender flares are the coolest model Jungle Fender Flares makes. Thanks for the link, I am glad you are enjoying the flares!

Actually the new version of these Tacoma fender flares are not shiney. They are the same size and style but they are now heavy duty made from fiberglass. See more information about these new Tacoma Fender Flares here.

 

Mine came in the other day. They are flat black and made out of fibreglass. I am a little sceptical about the mounting. It is held to the truck by the mounting plates in the wheel well. This leaves the top edge capable of pulling away from the bedside.

I think i will buy some double sided foam tape to place around the top edge, and likely glue the rubber top seal down.

Its a little gross outside these days, and i do not have a place to install inside. So i am stuck waiting for the weather to cooperate.

 

Due to the convex design of these/most fender flares, the top can not possibly pull away once the inside lip is mounted, especially with this new heavy duty fiberglass version. Just try holding them in place and then attempt to pull that top edge away from the fender with your finger. There is no way it will budge even slightly if they are pressed firmly against the fender when you mount them. It is a good idea to use a little glue between the gasket and flare though. They don't come glued on as they may need to be removed if/when painted. Good luck with the install and please do experiment to see how that top edge will not pull away before going to the trouble of trying to double-sided tape it.

Can someone tell if these are Xenon or Jungle fender flares in the photo below?

From all the pictures I've seen, both brands look very similar. Anyone know about that resemblance or how they differ?

Just buy some Flared fenders and bedsides if your going to do all that. They look better. IMO
