I didn't buy it.. But the lift on mine was cheap.
I do want to take it out and install a SAS, but I don't mind the lift on it now. I don't wheel it all the time like I use to with my old Jeeps and Samurai's. Plus, for a DD and weekend off-roader, it works for me right now.

because a proper SAS takes thousands of dollars, and alot of time out of service, if done properly. plus the truck never drives the same afterward

That is one thing I do not like about the SAS.. It won't drive the same. The more flex you have you give up drivability on th road. An since mine is mostly street driven with a weekend here and there tossed in with offloading, I say that my lift now works for me. If and when I get a new one and this truck can be my trail rig, then I'll toss down the cash for the SAS. Maybe! ;)

On the other had, I do wish they came with a solid front axle from the factory like they did years ago!!

With mine and 35's, I'm getting 15mpg on avg, but lately I've been getting 12-13mpg due to the winter fuel. Mix of city and highway driving.

i bet an sas cost close to $8k(properly done) to do when a drop bracket is $1200 to $1800 to do.

look how close that crossmember is to the ground, couldn't go over a pebble with that thing. better off going 3" than doing a drop bracket imo.
