skids vs dakar vs benelli

Im dying here! I cant decide what to spend some cash on. I dont "need" any of these but I want something. Which one would you get?!

Well if youre talking about the shotgun and not the bike, then definitely go with the gun. I have shot my super black eagle on ducks for a couple of years now, and it is great!

 

yes im talking about the shotgun. The SBE is out of my price range. I was quoted about $610 out the door for the nova in max 4HD camo

 

The Nova is a pretty good shooting gun..But for a pump I loveee my old 870. You are looking at the 3 1/2" Right

 

In SC that gun would be 400 bucks tops. I guess cali hikes up their taxes on firearms.

 

Yea I wanted somehting that could use 3 1/2'' shells. And I looked everywhere and couldnt find anywhere that could quote me a better price. The only places were online and with shipping and FFL(?) fees it all equeled out

 

I voted the Benelli but Have you looked at the New Browning Maxxus in the 3-1/2" I have looked at one of these personally and if I was Duck hunting this would be my gun of choice. I would just hafl to save a little longer as you said you were wanting to spend around $600. This gun goes for about $900 here in NorCal.

 

Checked that gun out at the local sporting goods store a couple weeks ago.....NICE. Took it apart and it's basically the same mechanically as my Gold Hunter 3 1/2 with a more ergonomic stock and fore end. If my next gun isn't an SBE II it will be a Maxxus.

 

I have a Nova and i love it...but the Turkeys on the wall did not

 

The Nova shoots 3, 3 1/2, and 2 3/4, put it in pull the trigger!

 

go with the benelli. mine is really solid and reliable. i paid less than 300 for mine!

 

You can never go wrong with another firearm.

 

it would be my first shotgun, its just the more expensive of the options. but its kind of what I was thinking also

 

If you want to spend some money on the truck, the OME Dakar springs are AMAZING. I can't tell you how much nicer it rides on the trail. But keep in mind that they ARE off-road springs, so don't be surprised when your ass sags a ton without much cargo in the bed. They're built for articulation and jouncing, not hauling!

 

hmmm I was looking at the dakars because I thought they had an overload spring and wasnt that bad when hauling.... My setup right now ist very good because I have a shackle that puts my leafs pretty flat, and since I have a bedbox I cant put heavy stuff close to the cab and with 1000lbs back there my leafs have reverse arc.....

 

Dude, I think I paid less than that for my Super Nova

 

I vote skids. You don't have them and if you ever bottom out, you'll be damn glad you bought them.

Dakars are cool but you're already lifted. No great rush there.

I love guns. I love Benellis. I have a 20 gauge Montefeltro that only weighs 5 lbs yet aims and swings like a dream. I like the Nova and Supernova but that is a lot of money for a pump shotgun.

If you have plans of buying aftermarket parts for the shotgun, don't buy the Benelli. There isn't much available for them. Get a Remington or Mossberg. They cost half as much, work just as well, have infinite aftermarket parts, and leave you with damn near enough money to buy the Dakars too.

 

Iv been searching and I cant find anything cheaper. at all the sporting goods stores theyr about $550 and online about $450. Californias gay with their taxes though.

Like I said before I was hoping they(dakars) would help out with hauling and make my ride better, its a little stiff back there. And as for getting a mossberg or remington, Since this would probably be my only gun for a while I wanted something that could chamber a 3 1/2'' shell for versatility. And yes the skids are badass.

 

Both Remington and Mossberg make 3 1/2" versions.
