I found what I consider to be a VERY RARE Tacoma for sale. 1995 Regular Cab 5 Speed V6 4x4 with 162000 miles. All stock, just no AC. Sierra beige in color with a matching topper. The only flaw is a golf ball sized dent on the front driver side fender... no rust and frame is solid. Gonna take a short road trip to drive it today.

This is only the 2nd V6 Regular Cab 4x4 I have ever seen, and I have been wanting one of them for a long time but basically gave up the search.

How many of these have you guys seen?

Yeah, these regular cab V6 models are sweet and hard to find. Unfortunately this one had a check engine light, and I could barely get it up to 30MPH it was missing so bad. Maybe just a fouled up 02 sensor, but I'm gonna pass this time.

Thats pretty sweet, but sucky. I wonder what the issue was.

I have a 1995 V4 4x4. 2.7's do pretty good though. Although a V6 would be awesome.. But yeah I didnt even know they made a V6 in a reg cab when they came out.

    they are rare
they only made single cab v6 tacomas from 95.5-97 because they said the powerful 3.4 was too big of a motor for a single cab frame

Yea thats sucks man, it also looked like the rear was sagging a bit too. Toppers are heavy, not that heavy.

Good call passing it up! You'll find better!

They really are quite rare especially with the frame rust issues diminishing the small amount to begin with. I am lucky enough to have a 1996 with a V6 and manual trans. The only thing better would be a factory E-Locker equipped one. For you trivia buffs, YES they did exist. In order to get an optional E-Locker in 1995.5-1997 the truck HAD to be a V6 Manual trans regular cab truck. No extended cabs ever got an E-locker before 1998.

a buddy of mine owns a 95 v-6 standard cab with 5 speed. he's owned since new. it has 245,000 miles on it. it is in my garage right now. we are doing an engine swap on it. the thing is fast for what it is, and it is a handful in the snow, i know i've crossed it up myself.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Really cool, I've never seen one but wish they kept offering a V6 in the regular cabs, think it would have helped boost sales personally.

Head gasket went out at 480,00, I could have just replaced the gaskets but decided that it would be a better choice to replace the engine with that many miles, so I found a 2004 motor that had 95,000 miles that it now has, but yes the v6 was original with the 5 speed and I'm the original owner, bought it new in 1997

I wouldn't mind a properly setup blower on my regular cab but I haven't bothered since it has the older ECU that isn't compatible with forced injection. I would have to find an ECU out of a '97 V6 regular cab to swap in, so I have been told.
