These are pics with essentially nothing heavy in the back. There is a small roll of carpet, some can soups, qt of oil, tow chain, and some shoes. To me it seems to be sagging?

What do you guys think? What should I do, I'm on a budget.

The junkyard around here sells the leaf springs for 14.99 a piece and there is a 1999 tacoma 4x4 base model sitting down there now, I was thinking of getting those but I don't want to run into the same problem months down the road. Is there a way I can combine the two leaf springs and make one stronger one??

The images should increase in size if you click on them.

So eventually I would like to buy billy 5100's all around and get that two inch lift, but right now I can't afford them and there are out of stock. Should I go with stock height leaf springs and get shackles when I get the money for the Billy's or go for the Leaf spring that gives me 2" of lift and buy some coil-over spacers?

What would you guys suggest doing??

i wouldn't try to add a leaf to your already flat pack. ....they tend to work much better on packs that still have life in them.

your best bet is to save until you have the money to get new leaf packs.

The AAL wont really help your leafs, and they wont give the proper lift bc of the shot leaf pack. So you pretty much need a new leaf pack, It will give you a way better ride also man! Along with the 5100's.

Hey, How did you get pictures of my Taco??? :)Same problem with my 04 TRD DC. I also have "axle wrap" which i believe is from the dead leaf pack as well. I'm saving up for a set of aftermarket stock height leaf packs. 'Correct me if i am wrong. My understanding is as long as i am not hauling heavy loads that no real damage will be done to the truck as i save up. Axle wrap and leaf sprints are connected and it is not going to damage the drive train as i weight. Thanks

Sweet, I was just about to ask this. Mine are shot as well. I put 240 pounds of sand bags in the back and the back end was kinda sagging so I thought that this was weird and weak so I checked, and didn't think the leafs should be pointing down more then up.

I think its fine. You just have a lot of axle wrap which is annoying.

Do you guys know if they are selling the OME leaf packs as individuals or in pairs? For the 98 and above they are individuals but the 95 - 97 they don't specify?? Also, do guys know the cheapest place to buy the OME leaf packs??
