Broken Lower control arm

    I finally found out what that clunking noise from my front end was. appearently my lower control arm was loose and while driving down my mountain this morning the front bolt completely broke off. The control arm is hanging by the back end, it pushed my tire waaaay back and nearly ripped off my fender flare. I ordered the parts from the dealership for $50. Anyone else have this happen.

    Yea im hoping nothing else is messed up. I was only going about 15mph but it scared the hell out of me. Felt like something way worse but this actually isnt going to be too bad I hope

    It's a rough day when you're driving along at speed and the front end drops out. :burnrubber: to :turtleride:

    Mine did take out my fender, and my front bumper, and part of my door.

    All fixed up now though. These trucks are pretty resilient and everything's replaceable.

    Not the first breakage I've had and it certainly won't be the last. :)

    thank god I didnt break a weld or anything. I lost the back cam adjuster thing i guess and the bolt has been slowly pulling out and I guess it just fell out. I found it tucked up in my skid plate. But I got everything on fairly easily for what tools I had. My trucks at the allignment shop right now (still under warranty from the last alignment so its free!), Then im off to the tire shop because it put a huge gash in my god damn brand new tires.

    yea its already done. and on top of that Americas tires is the shit and giving me a brand new tire for free! I was expeting to dish out $350 for everything (parts, alignment, tire) but I only spent $65. So im happy about that

    I actually didnt get a new LCA, I got a new bolt and the two cam adjuster things that go on either side of it.
