Ive got a 99 4x4 and am looking to get some new shocks. I dont do much off roading except for beach driving. I recently got a camper shell and am noticing the shocks in the back bottoming out when i hit a bump. I would like to get some new shocks that will not be a crappy ride, but able to stiffin up the back i guess. Been looking around and saw some monroe variable shocks for around 30 bucks. Just wondering if you guys could help me out choosing a inexpensive good shock for mainly road driving with a little beach driving. THANKS in advance!

Bilstein 5100, are a very good, reliable shock. Great ride on/off road too.

    i wouldn't trust a $30 shock...

you can get 5100's on all 4 corners of the truck for under $400. thats prob the best route for you to go. great bang for the buck
