I have a boat a little bigger. Weighs around 5500lbs. My 4.0 V6 pulls it fine but since it is two wheel drive. Somebody (Large) has to sit in the bed while pulling up the boat ramp

I wish it happened after cell phone cameras were invented!

The old man never untied the straps from the transom. He kept backing down the ramp in an attempt to unload the boat until his tires hit the algae and then he was shit out of luck! Down she went! The boat and trailer were floating behind the car. It was funny as hell!!

Yeah man. couldn't agree more... If you have any sense at all, this isn't even remotely an issue.... as in dont try to lock up the tires with the boat on the back for the fun of it, while going over 60, while in the rain, around a turn, on top of a cliff... haha
The truck should be totally fine.

Dont think that you will have any problem. Make sure you have a class 3 or 4 tow hitch and take your time. I think some people dont really know the strenghts of these trucks. You'll be fine...
