Want to change out my bench seat for a 60/40

I have seen a couple already, but I just had a question. My '03 has a standard cab. Can I put in an extended cap 60/40 seat? Does it matter if the truck is a standard shift or an auto? Mine is a standard. I figure I will want an '03-4 that is in new condition. I would imagine a new one would be pretty insanely expensive from Toyota. Any other ideas? I have found at least one from a bone yard in the correct tan color. Here is a pic of my interior. Thanks for any advice.

 

Just to give you an idea. This is the seat in my 2002 Regular Cab Auto Tacoma. Not that I want to sell mine but maybe you can find one like it if that seat is what you want.

take the ones you found and get them re apostered... I did it once with my old honda and it was like 150 dollars

 

I have a son, so there are three of us. Not that we drive the truck with three very often, but on the rare occasion. Maybe I should just get some removable armrest and save the bucks? I will keep looking around here to see the 60/40 in person. These trucks are so rare it seems around here. Not sure why, I don't think they have an equal when it comes to a smaller truck.

Yes - the transplant is pretty straightforward. The 60/40 setup uses 8 bolt holes just like the bucket seat setup. Your single bench doesn't use as many as 8 bolt holes.

At a minimum you'll probably have to drill a new bolt hole for the driver side inboard rear bolt. At most you'll be drilling (or unplugging, if they're pre-drilled) 4 bolt holes.

If you do the transplant, make a point to get the 60/40 inboard seat belt receivers / receptacle pieces. They're not the same as the single bench ones.
