For those saying your frame is fine because it has no surface rust whatsoever...

The rot starts on the inside of the frame ;)

Just got my Truck back (04) looks like they put more coating the second time they also got it all over the place:mad:. They also asked me if i ever launch a boat? Because rust was worse near the rear of the truck WTF!
I did not buy a Prius, does this mean i can not drive my Tacoma in heavy rain or through mud puddles anymore?

I dropped the $300 myself and got mine done the day I drove it off the lot. To wait until Toyota warranties the frame is not good planning, all the hassle I've seen everyone go through it would have been worth it to take it to Zebart and have them take care of the job.

Plus an undercoated frame on any truck, car, etc adds value on trade in up here. Good luck!

Had my frame replaced and drove directly from the dealer (after a car wash) to the Ziebart dealer and had the truck shot.
I've had half a dozen vehicles Ziebarted and it does keep the rust away.
    It's worth the money.
I intend to keep my truck for at least another 10 years.

Have never been a fan of tar style undercoating. More of a sound deadener that anything else. Dries out and the water and salt get up between it and the body /frame and its only a matter of time. This is my bare frame that was krown oil sprayed on my 2015. . 8 years of toronto ontario salt/snow
