Ya'll must be driving like jackasses if yall are going thru brakes as quick as you say

I've got 130K miles on my truck, and have replaced the rotors ONCE because I got a good deal on the power slots and i've replaced the pads ONCE because I wore the originals out

I changed that stuff somewhere around the 90K mark

Didn't read through the whole thread but if someone hasn't already mentioned Autozone (if you have it in your area) just go with their Durlast pads and rotors with the life time warranty.. Yes brake pads too.

Different driving conditions can durastically change how long pads/rotors last. A person could have a 300 mile round trip commute and use their brakes much less than another person with a 10 mile commute with a lot of hills and high speed stops.

im running tundra s13we calipers, brembo blanks, and akebono ceramics. if you're looking to replace pads and rotors spend the extra 50-100 on tundra calipers.

Exactly. A person could live out in BFE with no hills, and could have hundreds of miles and only touch the brakes once. Or you could live on top of a mountain and use your brakes 100x more in one mile than the guy out in flat BFE.

20k miles can stretch 5-10 years for some people.

OEM rotors are brembo's  I have nearly 180k on my current OEM replacement rotors. (53k by me)(252k on the truck) I just ordered stuff to swap to 05 tundra s13WL brakes and rotors...calipers are getting old although they work ok, I would feel better with new ones as I'm not sure when they were last replaced (if ever), lines are new -ish with the frame recall, the pads are quite gone, and the rotors are rusted horribly in the fins and while not warped they are a fair bit less than the minimum recommended thickness...

so for roughly the same amount of time and $$$ spent either way well why not!

As far as wearing goes. Depending on where you are the snow/salt will create a layer of rust evertime you park for more than a few hours. That takes its toll after a while.

My browser is not showing any rotors at your website, only brake lines.

Looks like this thread was revived from 2012. We are no longer offering any brake components other than the upgraded/extended brake lines.

for the record, my stock banjo bolts fit the tundra calipers perfectly with no modifications. stopping is very much improved... the extra 13 pounds of unsprung mass gained per side is not so great tho...

Gonna throw in another vote for the 231mm/13WL Tundra brakes. One of the best mods I've done, by far, especially with all the mountains around here.

This is the writeup I used; straight forward swap, significant braking improvement.

I will second. i now have 250 miles on mine and as they are getting broke in I am amazed at the difference in stopping power when towing my little trailer (about 3400lbs) with no trailer brakes around. 10x better than stock!
for reference; our trucks GVWR is less than a stock tundra's wet curb weight is...

Bilstein 5100s (f @ 1.75); 5100s rear; All Pro Expedition Springs; PowerStop slotted discs; Akebono ceramic pads; Wheeler's braided brake lines; Prodigy trailer-brake system; heavy duty towing set-up (for off-road trailer); WeatherTech mats (awesome); 5% Ceramic Tint; matching Snug Top (mid) with racks; Thule racks; dipped badges; 17" 2014 OEM 5-spoke 4-runner rims; 265/70/17 Bridgestone Desert Duelers (for now); Siriusxm radio; more on the want list...
Non-centric cross-drilled/slotted rotors and Akebono ceramic pads here. 100% satisfied.

I have been using Brembo and Akebono - couldn't be happier. This time around I want to try the Brembo coated - don't expect a huge difference but want to try them.

I got my WL 231mm Calipers and rotors off of a 2005 Toyota Tundra DC Limited 4x4 w/ the 4.7 V8. And got Wheeler's brake lines in the front. I have 16x8 rims w/ 4.5" of BS. And it all fit fine on my 04 Tacoma
