I had my 2012 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner 2WD/4D/SB/V6 flashed with T-SB-0044-14. Verdict is: much improved reduction in pinging/knocking, no discernible decrease in MPG, and (it seems) improved transmission shifting. Firmware/software flash was done as a warranty repair at no charge.
