opinions on the Daystar 2.5" with non-greasable shackles???

My brother has an 02, DC, 4x4, SR5, TRD tacoma and he wants to lift it and put 285's. But he only wants like 3" of lift so I told him to go with a spacer and a shackle. Does anybody have any experince/pics with the daystar lift? Please feel free to give ANY input.

I have the 2.5 spacer but I dont have the shackles. If he is getting the front spacer from daystar it rides well, I cant notice a difference from stock. I'll post a pic if you want a look of the front lift.

my first lift was the daystar spacer with their shackles...

they rode fairly smooth but flattened the stock leaf springs pretty quick
