Hey all, 02 tacoma, looking for a replacement keyfob for the keyless entry. Is ebay the cheapest place? I seen one for $54.95, just wondering if there were any cheaper ones to be had elsewhere. Thanks

I bought mine from the dealer. I think I have 90 something in it by the time I had them program it. He wasn't sure if it was the right remote for my truck so the only way he would take it back was if I allowed them to program it and see.

I bought mine from midwestkeyless on ebay for $23 + $7 shipping. It was a real Toyota remote (looked just like and had the same FCC ID as the one remote I already had).

Here is some info I found from the e-mail they sent when I won the auction.

Thank you for your purchase of 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 TOYOTA TACOMA KEY REMOTE with eBay item #120483770977. I appreciate your business!
    Regards,

I also bought several off of e-bay. Just make sure the FCC ID matches up. Mine was an 04. The directions came with it and it took about 2 minutes to program. Very easy.

Thanks for the info. How do I know if the FCC ID matches up? I don't have a current one to compare to. I bought the truck used and there was no keyfob with it but I confirmed the R3200 module and was able to get into programming mode so I know it works! Thanks again

Good question. This is the FCC ID on my remote. BAB237131-056

That is why I went to the dealer and had them order one for me to try. I didn't want to order one from ebay blindly and be stuck with it when it didn't work.
