randomly shifting into 4wd on highway????

my 02 3.4 l auto tranny taco has been shifting randomly into 4wd the last 2 days, it only happens on the highway

i have a fubbarred front diff, could that have anything to do with it?

it did it again today and i have to shift it back into 4wd and then back into 2wd to get it to disengage, aka my shifter knob doesnt move???

also my truck has cutoff while going down the highway 2x this week if i go to pass someone it cuts off when i let off the gas after i put it in N and try to crank it itll crank back up, ill shift into d and in a few minutes itll be fine


maybe the Idle air control for the latter?

i already bought a new tranny for 350, doing the SAS the 21st, saving for an engine for 500 (that i might turbo ) now looking for a transfer case maybe?

what will you do about the tranny if you go turbo? ive read alot that the auto's wont hold up to the added power. or are you goin to a 5 speed? and i honestly dont know, if the front diff is messed up maybe it could be turnin the driveshaft enough to catch something and engage your t case. but other than that i have no idea.

 

just make it a prerunner. lol

 

im trying to find performance clutches to go in the tranny, but havent found any so far, got the air compressor today, looking for a pump puller tomorrow

 

ive heard alot about level 10 performance transmissions, they do a valve body upgrade and a new torque converter. you can try them for the cluthces too..
