how manhy quarts of oil u guys using??

    mine almost took 6 quarts is that bad? like i could have poured all of the 6th quart in, but i didnt

    not sure... I buy my mobil1 by the gallon jug and fill until the dipstick says its full. I would say in between 5.5 & 6 qts sounds about right tho.

    Yep...I just looked in the manual and it says 5.5 quarts

    As long as your between the lines you should be fine. Another stupid question, did you check for any leaks?

    I think it can take 6 qts if you drain it well and replace the filter, but extra oil is also hard on an engine so I stick with what the manual says.

    x2, I thought they took more oil but they don't. I put a 5.5 qt jug of Castrol w/ a BG MOA and when I first checked it after I ran it it showed about .5 qt low. I checked it a few days later and then it was right at the F line.

    Idiot! i totally failed. i was chaing my oil and forgot to change out the filters :rasta: damn my ways.
