I just noticed that the clicking noise that i thought was a piston or a valve is actually my PWM vacuum switch valve. I was wondering if it was normal for them to make a clicking sound. I couldnt find much on the internet about it so i thought i would ask yall on here. Any feedback would be great. Thanks and have a great day.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You shouldn't be able to hear it in the cab with the engine running.

if the radio is down i can barely hear it. but when you stand beside the front of the truck or have the hood up you can hear it. Its just a ticking sound and i know its comin from it cause if you touch the switch you can fel it vibrating everytime you hear the noise.

Is it worth replacing to see if the noise disappears?
