Engine Performance Chip?

performance chips are a waste of money like a throttle body spacer, diesels on the other hand benefit big time from a chip

nah........not as far as chips go. urd has some things you may wanna look at..........like a maf calibrator and such. those actually work.

I would like to see a review on one of these. I hear lots of skepticism (and am skeptical myself), however no one I know has ever tried them out. For $25, I dont think its too much to ask for someone to run one for a few weeks and dyno. I would mind trying one myself to see how gas goes (dont have a dyno). I dont expect to be surprised, however, it couldnt hurt.

 

there is a reason no one uses them.........they simply do nothing. i mean....you can get a resistor chip from radio shack for .99 cents. if it did something worthwhile..........you'd see posts here about it. all you see is negative because as said before...they do nothing.

 

From what I hear, all they do is trick the sensor into adding more fuel. I can see this being somewhat beneficial for the deck plate users (possibly). It also claims to "optimize vehicle ignition timing by 1 to 2 degrees. Not sure wth that means...

I know deep inside you are right. However, I like to see data, just for curiosity's sake.
