Tire Rubbing Info

    Does anyone know what the biggest tire is that I can get away with on a stock 1st gen taco with no lift? I'm thinkin about gettin 265/75r16 Nitto TG's and lift it when i get enough money. But while I dont have the lift, I was tryin to figure out how much rubbing would come from anything else and whats the biggest (or best (cheap tire too :)) tire I can get away with in the meantime while i wait for denero for the lift.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    You should only have minimal rubbing with that size. I had that size on my gen 1 and it only rubbed the frame at full turn. :)

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    They are the only tire I run. I ran BFG's before, but I was asked to try out a set of the Nittos and see what I thought. Well, 8 years later, its all I run on my trucks. They have better grip in sand, mud, rock, granite, and under water than the BFG A/T KO's did. :)

    I'm just a little worried that the 265 will look a little small for the yota! haha I love the off-road look that aggressive tires look. what do you think?

    A 265/75/16 is considered a 32" tall tire. 10.5" wide at the section. Your tread width is going to be about 9.5", so Its a beefy tire. I run the same size on my Dodge. Had the same size on my 2000. I think it fills up the wells nicely. Regardless, its the largest size you can run without a lift, unless you have a Sawzall. :D
