    Hello All,

First post... looking at a 2004 Tacoma Double Cab, TRD Off Road, 80k Miles. Very clean, no major dings or scratches, clean interior, good rubber, frame looks good, but not great (I'm in the New England).Truck is going for $15k.

I've looked at KBB, NADA, searched the archives here. My gut is that it's a lot of money (particularly given frame rot issues) but at the same time I look around and look at the books and what's listed where and it seems like it's a fair price if not a good price.

    Anyone want to weigh in?

Not much to weigh in on. Welcome to Tacoma resale value. An 80k TRD OR will run you a couple grand under a brand new base Dodge Ram. But there's a reason for that.

Seams like a descent price, to me. Depending on your locations,(places that use salt on there roads) look out for the frame rust issue. But if not your in good shape!

Toyota has addressed the frame issue, so I wouldn't be too concerned with the frame. Take the vin to a Toyota dealership and see if they are able/willing to check if the frame has been inspected and/or treated.

Seems about right from a dealer or just a bit high for a private sale.

Recently bought an 04 DC 2WD TRD V6 with 93K from a dealer. They were asking just under 15k. Paid under 11 for it. Hope that helps.

    $15K seems reasonable for a 4x4.

the double cab 4x4 really holds it value.

when i bought mine, there was another person there looking to buy the same truck. ..i had to outbid the sumbitch to get it. ...not ideal, but it was the only truck like it in the southeast at the time. ..so i paid more than i should have. ..oh well, it's only $$$
