    are you sure ? i have seen 95- and up listed with TRD packages and have seen 95's with the TRD lettering on bed ???

    A lot of dealers lately have been putting TRD stickers on the truck and claiming they are TRD's when infact they are not.

    I had a '99 Xtra Cab PreRunner SR5 V6
    According to a couple different sites, I forget which ones at the moment (you can google them if you like), state that indeed 1998 was the first year for the TRD option package. TRD stickers were probably put on by the dealer, as stated earlier, or by the owners themselves.
