If you're talking about a dash kit, I'd go with either Scosche or Metra. I prefer Scosche out of the two but both will fit better than your average cheapo kits.

Cheap and it'll pop right in. I just bought a double din headunit for mine through them, but for like $10-15 extra you can get a dash pocket for a single din with every single din head unit. But you can also buy them separate for relatively cheap, about the same price as walmart after shipping and you're more than certain it'll fit perfectly without any shaving of the edges for a smooth fit.

I've learned everything from walmart is too good to be true usually.

Yep. Walmart over by me has em. It's a cubby hole instead of just a plate. Just a couple screws to hold the face plate on to the shelf and a few to hold the shelf on the bracket.

When I had the shelf, I could never find anything that would work well in there (glasses slide around too much, shelf is too deep for a wallet or phone, etc), but it is another place to put stuff. Suppose a pair of gloves would work good, if it was that time of year.

Dont know your situation, but I ended up buying a 7x7x2 aluminum project box and cutting holes in it for some switches for lights, winch, and seats. I think I'm going to redo it with smaller switches though (so I can cutout slots and put in little icons to see at night).

If you get one of those little grab pads and put it in the cubby holes it works awesome for an iPod or something like that.

I just drilled a hole for my ipod cable, and set my ipod in the with the silicone case, which is black, so it blends in well and doesn't move around.

This is what I have there now:

Thinking about using mini switches and doing it like the attachment. Of course then I'll have to actually add in all the lights as well...

Well it was the biggest pain, but it's done... thanks walmart dude and dad!!! but no thanks to the brand converter cuz there was a lot of trimming that needed to be done in order to get the center console all the way back on...
