Tire Theft!

So basically I ordered new tires from Nitto last Friday. I call discount tire to see where the hell they were and they ended up telling me that UPS "lost" them. I'm not stupid. I know that each tire weighs a shit load so there's really no way that they were "lost" as they claim to be. Some S.O.B from UPS, probably the driver, stole my dang tires. So I ended up getting a good deal out of it from dicount tire because of this crap. Instead of getting the 265/75R16 Terra Grapplers with 8 ply, I got 265/75R16 with 10 ply for the same price! . Although I don't know a lot about tires, the guy told me that they would last longer on my tacoma and I get them tommorow. I think thats a pretty good deal. what you guys think?

From what I have read, its just the weight rating of the tire.

i dont think you will notice much difference in the ride between the 8 and 10 ply, although the 10 ply may weigh a little more. i think its a good deal.

Yep. You got a better deal. They are a bit more $$$$$ and they are a stronger tire.

I think they will last the same. Its the belts that are different, not the material that they used to build the tread.

so you dont think that bc they distribute the weight better they wont last any longer? it wont put as much stress over certain parts of the tread?

they can potentially last longer, but the weight difference probably isnt a huge difference. just keep them rotated/balanced and properly inflated, and you should have no problem getting good mileage out of them.
