Stock TRD E-locker added to my 4x4 98' tacoma 4 cylinder automatic

I am thinking about putting on a trd elocker and 4.10 gears from a 98' Tacoma onto my truck. Will this match up to my vehicle. Will my 4x4 gearing match up?

Not entirely sure about the gear ratios, but I think you need to get the entire elocker rear axle. The elocker and non-elocker third members are not interchangeable.

I have the whole axle and locker lined up, I just need to buy it. The axle is from a 5 speed 3.4 liter engine.

Make sure the gears are the same as your front diff

One thing to consider ... Toyota specifically prevented 4X4 4-cylinder automatics from being offered the e-locker (either standalone or as part of the TRD Off Road Package).

I have the gear code (B04A) which indicates 8" diff with 4.56 gears and no limited slip. The transmission code,
indicates that it has an A340F automatic transmission.

It looks like my gearing will not match up to the 4.10 this guy is selling.

Thanks for the help.

How much would it cost to put a lunch box locker on this vehicle?

I don't know where you live but I just saw this on San Diego's Craigslist, guy says he has complete TRD E-locker rear end w/all hardware off his 2003 TRD for $800.00 , not a bad deal if it's all there & working properly.....
