Misfire

I have a misfire in the # 1 cylinder .2.7 ltr.Motor runs rough,when i unplug injector there is no difference in running so i asume injector is pluged?? this was taken to autozone and tested.new plugs made no difference either.when i unplug #2 it makes a huge difference.

Probably not an injector. I worked in the automotive field for way too many years before I finally landed an easy, government job. During those years I could count on one hand the number of bad injectors I came across. I can't remember if your model has a coil pack for each of the plugs or if it is like my 95 that has a distributor. If it has coil packs, swap the #1 and # 2 packs and start the vehicle. More than likely the miss will change cylinders. Wala, bad coil pack. If it is a distributor type, check for a bad cap/rotor and/or bad plug wire. Bad coil packs were very common on the Honda/Isuzu motors. lmk how it works out.

PS: forgot to say that if it is missing because of fire it will not change when you unplug the injector harness because there is no fire to burn the fuel.

 

alot of people that have have this problem have burnt valves... how many miles are on your engine? do a compression check to see. normally cyl 1 and 3 are the issues. dont want to scare you just trying to cover a few bases... hope im wrong

 

checked compresion all close to the same

 

would burn't valves make it just run ruff or will it also back fire???? compresion seems good

 

got it ,was a bad injector,truck runs great!!
