I have a 1999 tacoma 4x4 with stock wheels on it. I am looking to replace the stock wheels with some black steel wheels. Does anyone know the backspacing on the stock wheels so I will know what to look for in a replacement wheel? I have searched the forum for a few days now and can not find an answer. Or, does anyone know a good steel wheel that will fit the 99 tacoma without having to do any major modifications? Thanks

    Small lift and a topper!
I believe the backspacing on the stock 16"x7" wheels of that era is 4.5". Remember that a smaller backspacing means the wheel sticks out farther from the hub.

These are a popular wheel that is known to work well on the 1st Gen Tacomas, at a reasonable price: -Sam
