The son of a coworker of mine spun out the other night and hit a guard rail at highway speed. Now the truck won't start. Is there a fail safe on the Tacos that maybe cuts off the fuel pump or relay after an accident. Truck is an '04 4x4 V6. Thanks.

    Too many to list.
Is it possible there's a broken post on the battery from the jolt?

That is what I was thinking as well. Could have jarred the battery around a bit and broke/loosened a connection somewhere in there.

At least on automatic trucks, there is a little plastic cover you can remove and reset the tab inside it:

I looked through the owners manual but didn't see it specifically mentioned.

Toyota calls the little cover Automatic Transmission Shift Cover Plate Cap

That's an override if you can't shift into drive. At least that's what page 205 of the 2019 Tacoma manual says. It gives the procedure of what to do if you can't get the transmission to shift out of Park.
