    Im pretty sure this is a strut but im not totally for sure. Im working on taking off my TM 6 inch lift to put on new shocks/springs and leafs

    Thats a "Second Strut" on teh TM kit. It takes the place of the UCA.

    Interestingly enough......There are many vehicles that use the "Second Strut" design. No new vehicles mind you......but some older ones.

    im taking the TM lift off what do i do to get the stock set up? minus the new shocks and springs im getting do i need to buy new upper control arms?
    should i spend the money to buy new ones? or go to a junk yard and try to find one

    if you don't have stock UCA's already you'll need to get some. I imagine junkyard UCA's would be fine as long as they weren't damaged.

    You will also need a new crossmember for the front diff. IIRC, the TM kit cuts the OEM on out.

    The ones Ive seen had them cut out. Unless you have a Prerunner. Then they just mount the new one over the old.
