    2" body lift, 2.5 " coil over with rear blocks
    I am about to do the impossible. I am going to tow my 01 automatic 4x4 taco behind my RV. Just got the tow bar delivered today. Remco says this vehicle is not towable. ( we'll see) . I have spoke with a lot of people and no one really knows why. So stay tuned and tell your friends , the world will know the truth very shortly.

    Doesn't you rv have a hitch? if so why not use it and get some kind of trailer.

    I would rather load it on a trailer. Unbolting the driveshaft sounds like a chore if you have to install it everytime you park the RV somewhere and want to go somewhere in the truck, and then have to take it off when you move the RV to the next spot.

    A fair point. Driveshaft removal isn't terribly difficult or time consuming, but frequency could make it annoying.

    what about front drive shaft? can't I just set transfer case to neutral. Leave front shaft alone. rear shaft only has 4 bolts , I removed once for practice . 5 minutes

    Transfer case in neutral, remove the rear drive shaft (or just unbolt it from the rear end and secure it up really really really well so it can't come loose and drag).

    Yes, at least for 2nd gens, the oil pump for the transfer case is run off the input shaft so when you flat tow it, everything is spinning away and no oil is being pumped.
