I want to make the headlights on my '97 come on automatically. What's involved to do this?

many toyotas will turn off the headlights when the driver door is opened and the key is out IIRC....my 89 celica even did this.

so, leave the stalk on, and the lights will automatically turn on when u turn the key to start, and turn off when u exit the vehicle (test it 1st)

Mine doesn't do that. I actually only want them to come on automatically when it's low light/dark and not as DRLs. Don't want them on all of the time.
