Life is ruff in hawaii lol... Im guessing a connection came loose at the motor. They normally slowly go then die... Cant answer you door panel question though.

from the sounds of it i would guess the motor is fvcked. seems unlikely that both the switch on your drivers and passenger side are dead. maybe check your fuses aswell? id also hook up a jumper pack to the wires coming out of the window motor and see if the motor attempts to move up or down. tried this method with my pathfinder and ended up being a switch.

You wouldn't believe how many times that is the reason.

Also OP, if you open the door and hold the switch to roll the window down and slam the door shut real hard it might jar the motor and make it work temporarily. I've diagnosed many window motors at work this way. Disclaimer: I you break the door or any related components I take no responsibility for it. I've never had it happen to me, but there's always a first time.

Me too. I replaced a window regulator on a customers car at work and thought I misdiagnosed it, spent 20 minutes trying to figure it out and one of the other techs said "did you check the lock switch?"

Check to make sure nothing came loose in the module (behind driver's side kick panel).

In order to take the door panel off:

    Remove screw in door handle.

Remove two screws in door pull.

Slide the door handle towards the front and slightly pull it out.

To remove the pull rod off the door handle, remove that clip by pulling the portion on the horizontal portion of the rod towards you. Then simply lift the vertical portion of the rod out of the rest of the clip. The clip should remain on the door handle. (see below pic 1)

Pop off the trim that surrounds the window and door lock switch. Unclip the wiring harnesses off each switch (see below pic 2)

Then there are maybe five or six clips on the edge of the panel. Get a panel/trim removal tool or carefully use a screw driver.

Once all the clips are popped, simply lift up and off the door.

Here's a pic of how not to remove that clip from the pull rod. Notice how half of the vertical piece of the clip is broken. That's because I tried removing it from the handle. The fatter part of the clip that is attached to the horizontal part of the rod simply "unclips" by pulling it towards you. It's simple once you see it.

And here's a picture of what it looks like under the panel so you can see where the clips go:

Something similar actually happened to me. Take a look at your switches. I had a failed switch on the drivers side controls... and it did prevent passenger side from working. Check for freedom of motion of switch and that it returns to correct positions. Pop out switch controls and look for physical damage or burn marks from arcing. I ended up buying driver switch assembly on ebay and fixed problem.
