I noticed on the 01-04 models their is an overdrive button on the shifter that allows you to turn overdrive off. My 1999 does not have a button that will allow you to turn off the overdrive. Is there a way to turn off overdrive in a 1999 tacoma?

I wouldn't see why you couldn't. When I still had my '99 PreRunner it had the OD button on the shift lever.
