I just wanted to know if that dual cigarette and opening will fit on a 98. Its that piece below the radio bezel. I want to put a switch right there and on my truck it has a pocket. Also dose anyone know if the passanger air bag switch is key specific. Thanks

I have no idea if a '01-'04 lower will fit...
but the color will be off.
btw... those are accessory power sources...
the cigarette lighter is nearer the ashtray.

There are other places to put switches on the '98
I'd just look for another location.

My rock light switch(s) are located on the arm console box...

The airbag keyed switch should work with the master key (ign.)

This is the piece, but the color doesn't matter I am going to be painting it black anyways. I need to get another airbag switch because I chipped the one I have now and wanted to make sure it would still work with my key. I am also wanting a 01-04 Center console so I might look into putting my switch someplace in there. :)

Do you have a part number and price for that piece? I was thinking of adding it to my son's 1996.

I don't know much about the design of the 01-04 console box.

But on muh '00 it is a double wall construction where I mounted muh rock light rocker switches...

That means they do not protrude into the interior of the storage console.
But there is just barely enough space between the double wall...
at least at the height level where mine are situated.

^ any lower and I would lose use of muh rearward cup holder...
as a 16 oz. cup in there might bump the rocker switches when used.

As they are currently... never had issue.

just sayin', as you might want to investigate the later model's
console box to see if that could even be possible.

or not... if you really have little interest in knowing.

Anyone wanting to do this, it fits perfect except for the passenger side push-in clip.
