I know, another rust question. Just purchased this 03 double cab and it spent a lot of its life in VA, so I'm a little worried....the rust doesn't look too bad, but I don't know exactly what to look for. Am I just over analyzing? thanks guys!

    What rust? :notsure:

You should see the underside of my 2007 from being in New England  That frame looks to be in very, very nice condition. What you're seeing is extremely superficial surface rust and nothing to be concerned about.

Looks perfectly good to me. That's better than most frames I'd say.

Looks awesome for sure just wire brush the mild rust and then clean the dust/dirt off then use a rust prevention product to coat the out side of the frame so it stays as good looking as it is now:cool:

My 2012 already has more rust! Seeing that amount wouldn't even cross my mind as a concern.

You better get your frame replaced immediately that rust is super concerning I mean your frame is in danger of snapping in two!! Seriously dude your frame is good for 10 years old

My frame got re-coated by Toyota in 2010 and has substantially more rust than that. Jealous!
