I have a 2003 2 wheel drive with 226,000 miles. When I make a turn I hear a horrible scraping/squealing type of noise. Initially I thought it was coming from the front wheel area now as it is getting louder it sounds like it might be closer to the steering column. Sorry I can't be more descriptive about the noise location.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Check fluid level. How old is the belt that drives the pump? If you don't know or can't remember...change it.
