fuel pump issues

    Hi I have a 1996 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 4x4 since January I have replaced the fuel pump 3 times and now going on my 4th and replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump relay.The last pump was a Bosch.should I have the gas tank boiled and cleaned and put a whole new fuel pump assembly and pump in again.

    2" lift AAL and Bilstiens-front-rear,front diff drop. main drive drop
    Not sure of your situation-but-have you checked the RETURN LINES?
    my son had a similar problem in his CAR-the return lines were clogged.-Just a thought!

    Started automatic. Swapped to manual
    Can you visibly see gunk in your filter when you replace?

    will have the mechanic check the fuel and will have him check the filter screen thank you

    ordering a new pump assembly they think mine might have a short somewhere,just sucks

    The question is of course what has caused the multiple failures. I would want to see how the most recent pump looked when it was removed. May be time for a new tank. I wouldn't waste my time cleaning it. Once the internal protective coating is damaged, it will just continue to rust.

    the fuel tank is spotless,the fuel pump is a bosch bought on ebay 2months ago and it has a 1 year warranty and the place in Miami said its my mechanics fault it burned out.dont no who to trust anymore.hope its something minor

    yesterday mechanic checked fuel pump and it worked so now its checking voltage to pump assembly and all the fuel pump wireing replaced the relay a month ago.
