speed reducer

    has anybody ever taken out there speed reducer on a 1st generation?

    no i actually mean when u hit 110 mph the truck will decelerate or not accelerate anymore, this is from a restrictor, has anyone takin it out?

    yeah thats what a governor is. it "governs" your top speed.

    Anyways, no, i have not removed one on a truck, but i have pulled them out of my quads :)

    You don't. Your Taco is governed at 117MPH. You have no need at all to go that fast unless you are at a track. And even so, a PreRunner is NOT built for that kind of speed.

    unless youve lowered your truck considerably and are only running it at the track...there is absolutely NO reason to take your truck that fast

    its flat out unsafe...especially in such a rollover prone vehicle such as a pickup truck
