Does anyone know what the threads on the shift knob on a 1st gen are. I tryed searching and looking on the net and cant find it anywhere. Im looking at a few shift knobs on ebay but they just give the thread not what they will fit. If no one knows im gonna go to the hardware store and try to match it up with a nut. I have one to big and one to small at the house.

Take a look at autozone. They have a Hurst pistle grip handle and it comes with 4 or 5 different sized nuts to fit any manual. Uncle put one on his Tacoma and it looks great.

The pitch of the thread is 1.25(on my 1999) not quite sure what size bolt though, my drill bit guide says 11.51 MM, so drive to ACE HArdware find a bolt that has 1.25 pitch(start around 11 MM) and find one that threads into existing shifter knob, bingo
