tie rod end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WTF!!!!!!!

    stupid question...are you turning it the right way? the nut acts like a jam nut. turn it counter clockwise so it threads on further and then turn the end off clockwise. if the nut wont budge use a little penatrating oil and heat for persuation propane or MAP torch.

    I think its opposite from the driver side

    If he was able to get the other side of wouldn't he be turning it the right way? Just a thought but that's actually a good question you asked.

    Mark did you try any sort of penetrating oil or anything?

    i could be wrong but IIRC on my chevy the pasengerside was left hand threads. the part number for the left tie rod is diff from the right. may be because reverse threads

    pick up some penetrating oil it works wonders on stuck bolts

    Good luck with the tie rod, hopefully all works out. Maybe a breaker bar too. And besides, naval officers don't have muscles :p
